Graham is a professional environmentalist and has worked for the Environment Agency for 26 years. Prior to that, whilst studying, Graham worked for the Centre for Sustainable Energy and Bristol Energy Advice Centre. His role at the Environment Agency is around promoting the concept of a circular economy, by maximising resource efficiency and reducing waste.

Session 1: Energy Efficiency – Measures to reduce your bills

This session will cover basic energy efficiency advice around the home, focussing on What Marches Energy Agency can offer and have offered in the High Peak area and what Buxton Rotary have been doing here in Buxton. HPBC will talk about the work they are doing and the current schemes on offer as well as talking a little about the heat pumps and solar panels that now provide for the swimming pool and leisure centre

Session 3: Electric Vehicles – What is all the fuss about?

The government has made a serious commitment to replace petrol and diesel vehicles with non-fossil fuel alternatives. In this session we will find out more about electric vehicles, how and where to charge them, what to look for when buying and electric vehicle and hear from experienced owners about the reality.
